GENERAL ASSEMBLY: OUR OFFICIAL ANNUAL MEETING AND RECEPTION

The General Assembly is our offical meeting of the year. Members get updates on activities, discuss the budget, you will elect a new committee This year, we will also screen the film “Adrienne Bolland: Les Victoires de l’Audace” in French with English subtitles. The film will be presented by Ms. Coline Béry, a biographer and film director. The event ends with a reception with freed rinks and fingerfood where AOPA members can meet and talk.
AOPA SAFETY SEMINAR: LEARNING TO FLY SAFER

The AOPA Safety Seminar helps pilots improve their safety skills. Experts from different countries talk about flying safely. It is a great way to get ready for the flying season after winter. There is also a lunch where pilots can meet and share experiences.
AERO 2025 IN FRIEDRICHSHAFEN
Date: 09-12 April 2025
AERO Friedrichshafen is the biggest general aviation trade show in Europe. It brings together pilots, manufacturers, and aviation lovers. AOPA Luxembourg members can see the latest aircraft and technology and meet aviation experts. Individual teams from Aéro-Sport, Aviasport, Aéroplume and Arel Air will attend. There is also an IAOPA boot at this trade fair
SEASON OPENING FLY-OUT TO LE TOUQUET (LFAT)

We start the flying season with a trip to Le Touquet (LFAT). This destination is great for pilots, with friendly facilities, sandy beaches, lively markets, and nice cafés. If the weather is bad, we will choose another destination to make sure the trip happens.
IAOPA REGIONAL MEETING (nr 151)

IAOPA Europe will hold its 151st Regional Meeting in The Hague, Netherlands. This meeting helps plan the future of general aviation in Europe. Note: This event is only for AOPA board members.
NAVIGATION REFRESHER FLY-OUT
Date: Saturday, 14 June 2025

This annual event helps pilots refresh their navigation skills. It is a three-leg cross-border flight where pilots take turns flying different parts of the route. One of the stops includes lunch. It is a great way to practice flight planning, weather checks, and safety while enjoying the company of other pilots.
FLYING TO CHÂTEAU DE BOURNIZEAUX

A special weekend awaits at Château de Bournizeaux, a beautiful château in France, about 300 nautical miles from Luxembourg. This exclusive trip is for AOPA members only. The château has a private airstrip, offering a mix of flying adventure and elegant relaxation.
CHAMPAGNE WEEKEND RETURNS!

After last year’s cancellation due to bad weather, the Champagne weekend is back! This event, started by Jean Birgen, was well known for excellent champagnes from Claude Penot. It is a chance to enjoy fine drinks while celebrating our club’s history.
EAA AIRVENTURE OSHKOSH
Date: 21-27 July 2025
Oshkosh is the world’s biggest aviation event. Pilots and aviation lovers from all over the world to the USA to attend. The event features exciting airshows, exhibitions, and educational sessions.
SCHAFFEN-DIEST FLY/DRIVE-IN (EBDT)
Date: 15-17 August 2025
This event brings together vintage aircraft and classic cars. It is a great chance to enjoy aviation history and meet other enthusiasts.
AIR DAYS USELDANGE
Date: 20-21 September 2025
This event is perfect for showing general aviation to the public. It features aircraft displays, aerial demonstrations, and discovery flights for visitors.
SURPRISE EVENTS: FLYING ON SHORT NOTICE

Apart from planned events, AOPA Luxembourg will organise surprise fly-outs in 2025. These will be announced at short notice and offer pilots the chance to explore new places and enjoy spontaneous flying adventures.
