Dear members and friends of AOPA Luxembourg,

We are excited to kick off the 2025 flying season with a scenic Fly-Out to the charming seaside town of Le Touquet (LFAT)! Join fellow pilots and aviation enthusiasts for a relaxed and friendly mission to the beautiful Côte d’Opale.

✈️ Mission Details

• Arrive at LFAT before 11:30 AM (local time) at the latest
• Enjoy a group lunch at 12:00 PM at Restaurant L’Escale (located at the airfield)
• After lunch:
  • Pick up your pre-reserved bike or e-bike at the airport
  • Walk to town or grab a taxi
  • Explore Le Touquet individually or in small groups – enjoy the seaside, the town, and the vibrant atmosphere at your own pace!
• As the weather outlook is good, you can fly back home in the evening hours at your convenience.

🌊 Why Le Touquet?

• Pilot-friendly airport with excellent facilities
• Beautiful beaches and coastal scenery
• Bustling town full of cafés, markets, and French flair
• Perfect distance (~170 NM from Luxembourg) for a day trip
• Typically mild and flyable weather conditions in early May

🚲 Transport Information:

• Bikes and e-bikes should be be reserved in advance via Letouquet Airport Transport.

• Book early! May 1st is a public holiday in France and availability may be limited.

🌦️ Weather Flexibility:

• If Le Touquet is not VFR-compatible, we will redirect to Colmar (LFGA) or Speyer (EDRY).
• Updates and decisions will be shared during the online briefing.
