Fly-Out Texel & Annecy

With the summer of 2018 arriving at full force, we have two international activities in the pipeline.

The first fly-out is a flying and biking weekend, which brings Luxembourg pilots again to the island of Texel in the Netherlands during the first weekend weekend of (July 6th to 8th)


Weekend highlights are:

  • (self-)flying in a small plane from Luxembourg to dutch Island of Texel
  • Great friends, good atmosphere…discover what general aviation is about
  • staying overnight at airfield hotel with views on your plane
  • discovering the beautiful Island of Texel by electrical or regular bike
  • optional: attend historical airplanes fly-in in Genk-Zwartberg or attending the AOPA Netherlands fly-in at Teuge airfield

The second flyout is a classic UPL-AOPA one. The 31st edition of this annual end of summer adventurous fly out brings us to Annecy in the French Alps. Many single engine planes take off from Luxembourg airport and surrounding airfields for an up to 3-day adventurous flying expedition (Sep 7-9).


Weekend highlights are:

  • Flying to and landing at the Annecy Mont Blanc airfield
  • Discover on your own the charming medieval town of Annecy, where you can stroll through the streets
  • Tartiflette evening
  • Fly with  a local mountain flying instructor in a Mousquetaire to mountain altiports, such as Megève, Courchevel, Méribel, Alpe d’Huez, Corlier or La Motte
  • Discover nightlife Annecy


You can either join with your own or your flying club’s plane, be it as a pilot or a passenger. We can facilitate the introduction to a pilot for this unique experience. If you are a new private pilot, but you prefer to have an experienced pilot with you, we can facilitate this as well. You can also join this trip by car – alone or together with your friends.
