Save the Date: AOPA Nav Refresher June 14th!

Back by popular demand - it's our annual Nav Refresher - open to all pilots!

This year we will fly to Seppe/Breda (EHSE) and to Cambrai (LFYG).

What better way to spend a Saturday than in the skies with other pilots while refreshing your flying skills?! This is a great opportunity to brush up on flight preparation, weather planning and safety.

This is a 3-legged cross border flight where each pilot flies one leg of the journey. One stop even includes lunch! The route will be unveiled shortly.

AOPA will handle booking club panes in advance - so mark your calendars and stay tuned! A sign up form will be sent out soon. Since this is open to all pilots, please share this with anyone you know who may be interested.

In the meantime if you have any questions, reach out to Etienne at etienne.haumont@aopa.lu

The more the merrier!

Springtime Flying

Spring has sprung! You know what that means. It’s time to get back in your favorite airplane, take the family and friends out, show them the local sights or plan that long-awaited vacation. But! Don’t let the good weather fool you; your first thoughts must be, “Am I prepared?”

Wellness - In and Out of the Cockpit

Carl Eisen is a commercial and private pilot who discovered the power of mindfulness and meditation.

Read about his wake up moment and how meditation helped him. Something as simple as listening to your own breath, long and steady - can help calm the mind, calm anxiety, calm the nervous system.

For the full article on the Air Facts Journal website click here.

For more on Carl's use of mindfulness in the cockpit, read this article from mindful.org by clicking here.
