  • With Marina moving into treasury, Chris becomes the new General Secretary, moving in from her prior role as Vice-President.
  • The Board also co-opted the following: Reinhard, Marco, Bernard and Cristina - they will continue to support AOPA in a variety of roles.

AGM - highlights

Our AOPA Annual General Assembly meeting took place on Sat March 9th. It was special this year because we had a guest speaker and the acceptance of an honorary member!

Jangi Birgen is our newest honorory member! Reinhard's moving presentation had many in tears as he spoke about the years that Jangi devoted to promoting Luxembourg private aviation.

Mark Tanz from Luxair detailed his trip from Luxembourg to Oskosh - sharing with the audience all of the tips and tricks he learned along the way.

Sadly, Shah and Bernard decided to leave the board - we cannot thank them enough for everything they have done over the years! Nico was reelected and two new members joined the team: Daniel and Christophe - welcome aboard!

We look forward to working with you as we cotinue to support our members and the general aviation community.

Safety First - Passengers - on the ground and in the air!

As spring moves in and we prepare to take to the skies again, you might be thinking of going for lunch with a friend or a weekend away with your loved ones.

You probably have a routine to get yourself ready - have you seen the "Don't get Rusty" series from AOPA US? Click here for the link to a number of videos.

As a pilot you should be prepared but how about the passengers?
Here is a video from AOPA US about passenger briefings.

The FAA has an 'oldie but a goodie' on passenger briefings here.

I have my own passenger briefing list - do you?!
